The decision to complete this guitar build was completely out of left field and ridiculously impulsive. I blame Sarah for encouraging me and Orange IS my favourite colour so I couldn’t resist.
I’ve been a humbucker kinda guy for ages, havent had a conventional strat with single coils in years, but i saw the orange sparkle body for sale at www.axesrus.co.uk and just had to build a strat! (like, right away)

I bought all the parts from Axesrus. These are the parts I’ve ordered…

I’m pleased to say work on the first batch of Original tunes by The Deltatones is coming along nicely.

I’ve now completed my home studio refurb and have acoustically treated the room and upgraded my monitors, pre-amps, PC etc.

Rob has his own home studio so we are collaberating on the ‘Album’ from the comfort of our own arses.

7 basic tracks are done, there’s just some spit and polish needed (not to mention the bells and whistles.)

We’ll keep you updated as we go along.

This year we will be taking part in the Movember campaign.

For those who have never heard of this, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

Since 1st November myself and thousands of men across the world have started growing moustaches. (apart from Steve who started this at the age of 11 and has not shaven since)

We want to contribute to the cause by helping to raise both money and awareness to men’s health.

We’ve just agreed to be interviewed on the American Radio Station WRFR 93.3 FM based in Rockland Maine USA.

Rachel and Joelle Albury will be interviewing me about The Deltatones recent successes and other musical topics for their show ‘Jo and Cheech’s Radio Hour’ which goes out in the states on Tuesdays at 8-9pm.

I used to work at WRFR when I lived in the states and I had my own show there for a while “The Steve Stroud Presents Show”, Rach and Jo are also dear, dear friends of mine so It’ll be lovely to speak to them again.

The transatlantic interview will take place over Skype and I’ll let you know more details when I get it.
